Welcome to the Point Richmond Business Association!

Our Objective: For the mutual benefit of all those engaging in a business or owning property within the City of Richmond and desiring to promote the common welfare and benefit of the business community.

The PRBA also promotes and produces a number of community-enriching events throughout the year including the Point Richmond Summer Concert Series, Point Richmond Farmers’ Market, Fall Fest, Picnic in the Point, and many others.  We meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month for lunch.  The location varies because we meet at special venues from time to time.  We are a strong networking organization, and an excellent resource for new businesses in the area.  Annual membership is just $50 per year, which includes website promotion right here on our web pages.

We look forward to meeting you!  RSVP NOW for our next luncheon.

IMPORTANT UPDATES:

pcfmalogoFarmers Market is back!

The Point Richmond Farmers Market this year will be on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays.  The annual Farmers Market kickoff is on Tursday, May 9.  Time to take advantage of our geographically blessed location, and partake in locally grown and produced vegetables, fruits, spices, cheeses, meats, pastries, breads, jams, jellies, and handmade merchandise.

Be sure to stop by the PRBA table to meet our weekly featured businesses and to get ‘in the loop’ on all the great summer activities happening in Point Richmond this year!

Member Spotlight: Ed Fund
The Ed Fund is celebrating 30 years of supporting local public education – 29,000 school children across the five cities of the West Contra Costa County School District by designing and implementing initiatives to improve schools, support and honor best practices in teaching, inspire student achievement, and bringing excellence to public education. These efforts include grants, scholarships and the Fund-a-Need program. Since 2005 they’ve awarded $736,000 to 215 low-income high school seniors and for the 2012-2013 school year they awarded $35,000 to support 48 classroom projects in 28 schools. They’re also working diligently to increase after-school & summer opportunities for children and improve the number of students in the district who choose to attend college.
Come and learn more about how you can help! They will also have more information about tickets for the 25th Annual Excellence in Education Awards Luncheon or check out the event information online: www.tinyurl.com/edfund2013
